Studies with Stearman: The Day of Christ and the Trump of God

Philippians chapter 2 is one of the most important, insightful and beautiful chapters in the entire Bible. Written in A.D. 62 as Paul was being held in a Roman prison, this chapter explores the mind of Christ, the love of God, the rapture, the humanity and sacrifice of Jesus and the pattern for successful Christian living, no matter the circumstances. Filled with familiar and brilliant passages of Scripture, we read of the hope we have in Christ for a bright future. Paul says it best … “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Divine justice is coming. As Gary likes to say, “hang in there … just a little bit longer.”
